Expand Your Network

Building a professional community or “network” is an essential component of students’ career development process. Professional networks help students explore their career interests, gain career-related information, access meaningful advice, learn about professional opportunities, and more.

Every Lafayette student has access to key resources and support to build their respective professional communities. Whether you have already begun to establish your network or are just getting started, the Gateway Career Center is here to support you each step of the way.

Keep in mind that networking can take place anywhere and with anyone! Your professors, peers, part-time job or internship supervisors, coaches, and family friends are all a part of your network. Utilize the resources, tools, and guidance available to you through Gateway to maximize the effectiveness of your efforts to establish, expand, and maintain your community, including the below resources and individualized support from your Gateway Career Counselor.
