Welcome to the Land Surveyor Virtual Job Simulation! We are thrilled to have you here.

LJA is a multidisciplinary engineering, planning, and surveying firm shaping communities across the United States. Our surveyors play a foundational role in every infrastructure project—from initial boundary work and topographic scans to field data collection and final site plans. With a blend of field precision and office-based technology, we bring clarity to the land and confidence to our clients.

During this program, you will get the opportunity to step into the shoes of a Land Surveyor-in-Training and complete tasks that replicate the work that our Public Infrastructure Survey Unit team does every day. You’ll learn key skills in:

Visual analysis of survey data

Field-to-office collaboration

Interpreting CAD and lidar outputs

Exploring career and certification pathways in surveying

We hope this program provides a great resource for you to upskill and strengthen your resume as you explore career options and a potential career at LJA.
