SPRING 2026 – Spanish or Russian Conversation Partners

Great training opportunity for teaching! Conversation Partners (CP) work with assigned classes over the course of a semester. They are responsible for arranging meetings with all students in small groups of 2 to 3 students; they meet a designated number of times, usually (3 to 6 times) over the course of the semester-once a month per group. CPs coordinate the conversation topics with the course instructor and provide regular feedback in the instructor’s GoogleLangShare, they make a copy of each lesson plan (1 per round of conversations) and save it in the ConvPard Lesson plan folder in the Proctors’ Stuff folder on the server. One hour regular Resource Center Assistant time per week is required (scheduled); lesson plans may be set up during this time. Conversation sessions should be held in one of the Resource Center spaces or one of the lounges on the 4th floor of Pardee. CPs are also encouraged to work as Resource Center assistants.
Compensation: $9.25/Hour
Openings for Conversation Partners in Spanish (1) and Russian (1)
Hours per week: Approximately 10 hours a week (flexible hours)
Requirements: Must be a native speaker or advanced student of Spanish or Russian (300 level or higher)
