Coordinator – Communications: CORP – Marketing And Corporate Communications
Summary:
Designs and implements public relations and social media programming through written and visual content to increase brand awareness in alignment with the mission, values and objectives of Memorial Healthcare System.
Detailed responsibilities:
• Assists in development and implementation of programs inclusive of public relations, social media, influencer programs, community and media partnerships, and promotional opportunities.
• Composes reports, presentation materials and other written communications. Drafts press releases, fact sheets, press kits, key messages and other media materials.
• Monitors editorial calendars, news developments and trends.
• Stays abreast of industry trends, best practices, and other information beneficial to the healthcare industry, the system and colleagues, and reports to both to leadership.
• Tracks, measures, and reports the results of public relations and social media campaigns to internal teams.
• Creates weekly media report and manages platform for media analytics.
• Captures photos and videos for website and social media channels.
• Assists with crisis communications.
• Assists with on-call media relations.
• Supports journalist queries and media opportunities; manages media lists.

Education:
- Bachelors
Education specialization:
- Journalism
- Public relations or related field
Required Work Experience:
- One (1) year of experience in the public relations field.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Excellent writing skills with immaculate grammar and knowledge of AP Style. Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines. Bilingual in Spanish and English; proficiency in written and verbal Spanish; multiple languages a plus. Graphic design skills and video and multimedia production preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Cision, Google, Adobe Workfront.
