Barbara is the Director of Development for the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. The orchestra gives promising young musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform under the guidance and demands of professional standards. Barbara’s main task as Director of Development is to fundraise, market, and promote the orchestra within the community.

>> I like being around people. That's something I've always liked. Networking. Promoting this amazing orchestra. It's easy to do that, because I believe in the orchestra. And we're short-staffed per se, because we are a non-profit. So because of that we don't have the same kind of dollars that a business might be having to do this sort of thing. So there is a good chunk of kind of getting exhausted prior to the events. And you have a little down time after to rejuvenate. So -- and there are only four of us that work in the office. We have lots and lots of volunteers and board members that help. [ Silence ]
