My name is James Leroy, I am a sales and marketing manager for Element Materials Technology. My sector that I work for is transportation and industrials. So the overall scope of my job is really working with a customer service team, a quotation management team, the sales team, as well as marketing initiatives for our sector. So I'm managing a team for marketing and I'm managing a team for sales and customer service. Every part of marketing is what we do. So everybody that works within our organization, they're gonna touch something. Whether it's website, search engine optimization, Google ad words, email campaigns, snail mail campaigns, website development... You name it, they're gonna have some impact on us. So really our marketing team is a very well rounded team that is touching the market and audiences through a multitude of platforms. So, I try to divvy up some of my time with coaching because I think that's really important. So I will take time with each sales person, do some coaching with them, and really try to develop them. Give them any tips that I can. Give them any advice. Make sure that what they're questioning, that they have a good plan going into a sales call and everything of that nature. So coaching is a big part of it. Reviewing, you know, the last week and prior week and action items. So really it's key to make sure that whatever they're doing, what is the next step? Because sales is what are you doing for me today and what are you doing for me tomorrow, not what have you done for me in the past. So we're really trying to make sure that they have a good game plan. As far as marketing, that's a lot of it has to do with me reviewing. So I will sit there, go over with the team what have we done, what have we produced, what needs to go out, what can we do to make things better? Are there ways that we can do some AB tests or different changes in what we're doing to increase our open rates, to increase our click through, our conversions? Make sure that what we're putting out there is providing value and we are driving revenue into the business, because that's what's key is growth. Since we cover such a large swath of industries and we have a very large business, we really need people managing, coaching, and developing because that's key. So, we're gonna take our sales people, really develop them, push them, make sure that they have all the tools that they need to be successful because in the end that's what's important. And if you take someone that's ripe and ready to learn, very driven, has a great attitude, and really wanting to soak in everything then we can train them to be very effective sales people. Hitting their numbers, and basically making a lot of money. I mean, when it boils down to it. I mean, that's sales.
