Pricing Analyst
The elevator pitch…
This is a front row seat to the financial machine that fuels one of the world’s biggest markets – residential mortgage. Tomo Capital Markets is looking for a first analyst in the door to join a fast-growing startup chasing after the homeownership problem. Our decisions in pricing, loan product creation, and investor relations directly affect home affordability and accessibility as we chase down the holy grail of “If it weren’t for Tomo, I wouldn’t own a home.”
This role will work out of our Stamford, CT office Monday-Wednesday and is remote optional Thursday & Friday.
The things you’ll be doing… (Role Responsibilities)
- Manage our loan lock workflows to ensure sales and customer requests are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner
- “Watch the money” by ensuring that loans meet our revenue requirements and investors price our loans properly
- Assist Capital Markets management in a range of quantitative projects
- In one year should be taking on junior whole loan/hedge trader responsibilities
The things you’re exceptional at… (Qualifications and skills)
- Quick, quantitative chops. You will be number crunching.
- Fluency in excel
- The ability to see risks around corners. Some call it awareness, some call it a healthy sense of paranoia. Your actions have direct financial implications.
- Innate curiosity. Ask questions and absorb information around you.
- Willingness to take on new projects. Need to learn python to crunch a big data set, get after it!
- 0-1 yrs experience
You may also have the extras… (Additional qualifications and skills)
- Experience with database languages (SQL dialects) or python
- Finance or economics degree
Tomo believes in compensation transparency. This role will pay between $60,000 and $80,000 annually.
