A bit about me: In addition to being a Gateway Ambassador, I work at the Williams Center box office and volunteer with Firth Youth Center. I’m currently pursuing a career in corporate law, with a strong interest in pro bono work as a way to give back to communities like the one I grew up in. Outside of Lafayette, I’m part of an eight-year program called Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), which has helped me develop career readiness skills and build a strong professional network. I’m excited to share with other students just how valuable Gateway is and to encourage them to connect with our amazing team. My biggest piece of advice when it comes to career development is to take advantage of every opportunity and keep building from there. Trust in yourself and in the work you’ve already put in!

A bit about me: In addition to being Gateway Ambassador, I am also involved in the MSA (Muslim Student Association) and SASA (South Asian Student Association). I am currently a Government and Law student and this summer I will be in Princeton, NJ working with the Princeton University Preparatory Program (PUPP) as a Teaching Assistant. I am passionate about politics and public policy and hope to teach one day. I am delighted to be a part of Gateway and help students utilize all the wonderful resources it has to offer.

A bit about me: I am a dual Swedish and US citizen pursuing a double major in Government & Law and Psychology. My main passions include service, advocacy and dedication to making a positive impact. Outside of Gateway I am a LEO, on the Mock Trial team, a member of the Student Government, involved in Greek Life and Co-Chair of the Recreation Centers Marketing and Media Team!

Bachelor of Arts, Mathematics & Economics; Theater minor

A bit about me: As well as being a Gateway Ambassador, I am also a member of the XLC Committee at Lafayette, as well as a mathematics tutor. I’m aiming to establish a career in finance or behavioral economics, and am currently studying to be a financial advisor. I’m also deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, having founded the company UniBox, where we create curated boxes for incoming college students—starting with a pre-college welcome kit and followed by themed essentials like finance, cooking, hygiene, and tools—to help them confidently transition into dorm and eventually adult life. My advice to Lafayette students is to definitely get involved with the Gateway Career Center as soon as possible—it’s a great resource to use no matter what stage in career planning you are in. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and wants to help you as much as they can!

Bachelor of Arts, Psychology and Economics; Organizational Studies minor

A bit about me: In addition to being a Gateway Ambassador and Gateway Peer Advisor, I am also a student worker in the Office of Inclusion, a tour guide with Lafayette Admissions, and a Co-Director of one of the service camps in the Pre-Orientation Service Program (POSP). I also run with the Running Club. My career goals, although not narrowed down, will most likely consist of Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, recruitment, or management.

Advice: The biggest thing I would advise my peers to do in career development is to take the big risks. Even if you don’t think you are going to get the position or be qualified, there is no harm in applying and finding out. I highly encourage being absolutely fearless, shameless, and open to rejection, because that is how big things happen!

A bit about me: In addition to being a Gateway Ambassador, I am also involved in greek life and LEAP (Lafayette Environmental Awareness and Protection). I am currently pursuing a career in finance or data analysis. This summer I completed an internship at Teknor Apex in Rhode Island working with data analysts and gained insight on the practical use of data in a business environment. I’m also passionate about teaching and peer tutoring, and had the opportunity to tutor an Easton Area Middle School student in the fall. I am excited to spread the word to other students about how useful Gateway is. It is so easy to get started with them and I can’t stress how helpful all of the wonderful staff and peer advisors are.

A bit about me: I’m still adjusting to campus, but I am very interested in hospitality, international relations, psychology, and event planning; anything that brings people together and enhances the experiences. I like the idea of working with individuals, hearing their narratives, and producing events that make an impact.

I am not currently involved in clubs on campus, however I can’t wait dig deeper and discover where I can make an impact and grow. What I would like to do is create a career that integrates my interests in international projects and communication with different people around the world.

If I were to pass on any message to students, it would be to do everything you can. Do different things, take up jobs or roles that interest you even if you are uncertain about them as of now. With every new experience, you learn what you’re passionate about, and that’s how you will discover the path that is best for you.

Bachelor of Arts, English and International Affairs

A bit about me: Aside from being a Gateway Ambassador, I’m the Assistant Culture Editor of Lafayette’s student newspaper and part of Lafayette Easton Alliance, a student-led organization that aims to bridge the gap between Lafayette students and Easton with a focus on entrepreneurship. I spent my last summer at the Easton Public Library researching the founding of the city as part of a project with the German Department. I hope to continue this research and assist the Sigal Museum in creating a related exhibit for the bicentennial. My advice for Lafayette students is to try new things, such as new clubs, to meet new people, and to take advantage of all the resources both on campus and beyond, in Easton.

A bit about me: Aside from being a Gateway Ambassador, I work for the admissions office as tour guide office employee, and senior interviewer, am a LEO, and am a part of Fraternity and Sorority life on campus. I am a Math and Economics major with a Data Science minor and a Finance certificate. This upcoming summer I will be interning with a consulting firm in New York City,  and I am so excited to dive into the consulting world and learn more about the industry in general. I am so excited to be working as a GA and I am looking forward to this upcoming year!
