If you will be living away from home for the duration of your internship, explore these resources to identify potential housing options in your target city.

NOTE: Many colleges and universities offer summer housing to interns. The fees can be quite high (especially in cities such as Washington D.C.). Work with your Gateway Counselor to identify potential schools in the location where you plan to live for the summer.

FOUND Study
FOUND Study is a low-cost provider of affordable student and intern housing with rooms for rent in urban cities, and incredible co-living amenities. New York City locations include: Brooklyn Heights, Columbia Heights Waterfront, Turtle Bay, Midtown East, Upper East Side. Other locations include: Oakland, Philadelphia, Providence, and San Francisco.

Monmouth University Summer Housing
Monmouth University provides safe, clean, and affordable housing accommodations for summer interns in our off campus beachfront apartment complex. You do not need to be a registered MU student to apply for summer intern housing.

The New School Summer Housing
New School housing offers a safe and convenient home base in New York City for all summer interns and college students, whether they are affiliated with The New School or with other colleges and universities. Housing is a short walk from Union Square.

New York Institute of Technology
Riverside Residential Hall has summer housing.

NYU Summer Housing
Please visit our website or call us at 212-998-4621. Living in NYU Summer Housing does not require enrollment in classes at NYU, however, applicants enrolled in credit-bearing courses do qualify for the lower enrolled rate for housing.

Pace University Summer Intern Housing
Pace University offers housing for non-Pace students both at their New York City and Westchester, NY campuses.

Penn Hospitality Services
Hospitality Services is pleased to offer lodging in a furnished and air-conditioned residence hall for college students from other universities who will be participating in a research program at Penn or internships in the Philadelphia area.

Saint Joseph’s University
SJU offers housing options for students coming to Philadelphia as a part of their summer internship experience. The facilities are located just a block away from Overbrook station, making the perfect location for students with internships in the city or down the Main Line. The fully furnished Townhouses offer students a low cost, comfortable place to stay during their summer internship, on-site parking and laundry machines, and allows them to be a part of a community of other young professionals working in the area. Saint Peter’s University
Saint Peter’s University and Jersey City are in the NYC metro area  (10-15 min subway ride) making it an easier, quicker, and more affordable commute into Manhattan than other areas of NYC. Only $60.00 Per Day – Summer residents get their own private (very spacious) bedroom and their own private bathroom. The apartment includes a kitchen/common area, room temperature/AC control, and is fully furnished with new furniture. All utilities are included in the $60 per day, including WiFi. FREE parking is also available on campus if you have a car—although a car is not needed to get around in the Jersey City and NYC area.

St. John’s University Summer Intern Housing
Access student housing for summer interns; locations include Queens, Manhattan, and Nassau County.

St. Mary’s Residence, owned and operated by the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Charity, provides a temporary home for professional women and students. Conveniently located in the heart of residential East Side Manhattan, St. Mary’s Residence can easily be reached by the 72nd Street bus, Q train, Lexington Avenue subway lines or taxi.  Several Churches, shopping facilities, educational and recreational centers are nearby.  Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art are within walking distance.

Suffolk University

WISH
